Inspired by the International Style of Architecture and classic Modernist buildings of the 1960s, the Tier Tables draw aesthetic cues from architectural archetypes that include pavilions, car ports, plazas and atriums.

Specific references include the Villa Savoye (Le Corbusier) and the Neue National Gallery in Berlin (van der Rohe)

"The Tier Tables are intriguing because the legs have been moved from corners of the table to the sides. This migration creates a light and airy feeling to the table that belies its overall size and volume as the table tops cantilever precariously away from the structure."
